What Substances Does RoHS Restrict?
RoHS 3 restricts 10 substances including Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd), Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI)), Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB), Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE), and four phthalates. Our brass fasteners are tested for all 10 restricted substances.
Standard Brass vs Lead-Free Brass
Standard C360 brass contains approximately 2–3% lead, below the RoHS threshold of 0.1% by weight in homogeneous materials — meaning standard C360 brass fasteners ARE RoHS compliant. For zero lead content applications we supply C260 cartridge brass fasteners.
